Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust for experienced, passionate and motivated midwife to work in the safeguarding team at our Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea site. You will be based in the Antenatal Clinic, Monday to Friday. Main duties of the job You will support the operational delivery of safeguarding practice across the Trust. To adhere to national, regional and local legislation, policies and recommendations. Carrying out safeguarding antenatal clinics, consisting of follow up and booking appointments. To work in partnership with women and their families, GP, obstetrician and other agencies to ensure optimum care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of mothers and babies in accordance with the Trusts policies and guidelines. Informed client choice within the limitations of the service. Facilitate the learning of midwifery skills through supervision, teaching and support. Actively promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle, advising and arranging support for women as required. Participate in pertinent information groups, facilitating preparation for childbirth and the postnatal period.
