We are currently recruiting for a Director, Executive Counsel - European IP & Regulatory Litigation. Reporting to the VP and General Counsel, European and IP and Regulatory Litigation, you will be responsible for supporting the business through pan-European regional patent litigation.
Location South East UK, commutable into London/Harlow
A day in the life of a Director, General Counsel
* Managing complex, high value pan-European pharmaceutical patent and regulatory exclusivity litigation strategies to advance Teva’s commercial objectives.
* Working with cross-functional teams within Patents, EU Legal, Portfolio, Commercial and Regulatory Affairs teams to develop and implement product launch strategies.
* Developing policy positions in collaboration with global government affairs colleagues and advocating for these positions both internally and with external industry associations.
* Coordinating and leading IP and regulatory exclusivity training programmes for non-specialist internal colleagues.
* Instructing and managing external law firms and counsel - ensuring adherence with strict cost management principles and billing guidelines.
* Creating new processes and implementing existing litigation team policies and processes to promote efficiency, visibility and cross functional communication.

Do you have...?
* Significant experience of international IP and regulatory litigation within a pharmaceutical/life sciences company or law firm representing equivalent clients.
* A proven track record of managing a complex and high value/impact caseload and operating with the highest degree of integrity.
* A business understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
* The ability to develop cross functional / cultural relationships.
