Are you a recent science graduate who is keen to step out of the lab and put your skills to use, from day one to make a meaningful impact? Do you want to collaborate with and learn from colleagues within the UK Medical team of a global life science business? As a member of the Medical team, you will have the opportunity to work across three different areas over the course of the 18-month programme. Firstly, you will work within the office-based Medical Advisor team, focusing on understanding the role of the Medical team, various products, and compliance. Next, you will undertake a field-based role working alongside the Medical Science Liaison team meeting Health Care Professionals (HCPs) virtually and face-to-face. Your last rotation will be office-based working on projects within the Medical Operations team. Day-to-day tasks might include:
* Attend medical and commercial meetings relevant to products and liaise with agencies.
* Cross-functional engagement with patient access, medical information, and brand teams.
* Focus on development of materials for content factory, updating slide decks with new data, and performing stakeholder planning to identify national rising stars.
* Attendance at code update meetings and compliance training.
* Engage with tier 3 key opinion leaders (KOLs) and rising stars nationally to understand their current treatment for prostate cancer.
* Support clinical operations by way of site identification and study proposal development when appropriate.
* Support operational tasks and work on projects in Medical Operations.
Who are we looking for?
* Graduate with an MSc in a health science-related field or MPharm, achieving a minimum of 2:2 classification.
* Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
* A team player, able to work well with different departments across the business.
* An agile worker, able to switch focus between different tasks across the business and different stakeholder groups.
* Self-directed and comfortable working within areas of ambiguity.
* Accurate, with high attention to detail.
* Driven, keen to take on more responsibility within the company and grow within the role.
* Fast learner and proactive mindset.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Proficient computer skills, with strong knowledge of relevant software applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
