Role description:
Our client, the Owner, is a leading European Utility Company based in the Czech Republic, who is pursuing an exciting Nuclear New Build Programme. The first phase of the Programme (first unit [plant] with option for second unit), is currently at the main delivery party bid evaluation stage with negotiations soon to commence. Arcadis is seeking highly experienced, technically capable, and competent individuals, who are highly motivated with exemplary interpersonal and stakeholder skills with collaborative behaviours. The core focus is to assist and support the Owner team initially through a rigorous Tender Evaluation, negotiation, recommendation and award process. Subsequent transitioning to support the Owner team in the successful delivery of a large new build mega project.
Arcadis is seeking flexible, dynamic individuals ideally to be based in Prague to at least March 2025, potentially beyond. Candidates wishing to travel on a more frequent basis may be considered and some roles may be UK based with travel to/from Owner offices as required to support this highly challenging, interesting, and potentially rewarding project. These roles present a genuine once in a lifetime opportunity on a government-backed nuclear programme comprising exciting mega projects for the right individuals to add to their CV and take up the challenge.
Role accountabilities:
Arcadis is seeking expert, senior, and mid-level Construction, Commissioning, and Safety Managers with recognised expertise in Construction, Commissioning, and Safety with the following desirable criteria.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Basic requirements:
2. University Degree in a relevant discipline/subject and/or proven relevant experience in the field
3. ~10 years experience within the Energy sector, ideally Nuclear
4. ~5 years practical experience of construction projects on site, and/or commissioning/safety (incl. New Nuclear Build, Waste, Decommissioning or conventional energy projects)
5. ~1 reference projects within the Energy or Nuclear field
6. English language native and/or C1 (written & spoken)
Candidates will have ideally characteristics including:
1. Exemplary interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
2. Knowledge and experience of Nuclear Power Plant Construction including management of contractors, people, and leadership of construction/commissioning/safety
