We are currently looking to recruit a Operations/Factory Manager to lead the Operations and Maintenance departments for a manufacturing company within Newark area. You will be responsible for approx 100 shopfloor staff and supervisory staff of 15 and a maintenance team of 6. You will report into the MD and Engineering Director. Ensure a safe working environment and promote a safe culture whilst supporting the team with any safety concerns Customer focused manufacturing background where the customer is seen as key and integral to the ongoing success Experience across manufacturing and maintenance ideally within plastic manufacturing or rotational moulding Strong leader with exceptional people skills at all levels Lead and support a continuous improvement culture Maintain a flexible approach to working hours and department support as needed Required Skills and Experience Demonstrable management experience within a technical business Qualifications such as Black belt / Green belt / IOSH / Manufacturing Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads Provide support, direction via training, guidance and leadership to ensure teams are developed Deliver and attend briefings to ensure effective communication is maintained at all times An understanding of Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Management Systems This role is working largely Monday to Friday however in some instances you may need to be available to see people who work on shifts.
