To manage the warehouse operation and supporting departmental teams in terms of the following:
1. Management of inventory: Ensuring stock is stored safely and correctly, keeping stock levels and records up to date – utilising WMS software.
2. Planning and coordinating: Planning the delivery and despatch of goods, and coordinating the use of space, equipment and labour.
3. Managing staff: Recruiting, training, and managing staff, and ensuring they are working safely and following all policies and procedures.
4. Maintaining health and safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
5. Communicating: Attending and conducting regular internal meetings to ensure all contacts are up to date with business requirements etc. Liaising with transport companies, and responding to customer communication as may be required.
6. Reporting: Producing regular reports and updates, and analysing productivity and quality.
7. Maintaining equipment: Overseeing the maintenance of vehicles (FLT), machinery, and equipment.
8. Meeting objectives: Ensuring quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met, and managing budgets.

Working Hours and Benefits
Monday to Friday – 8.30 am till 5.00 pm with a 30 minute daily lunch break. As the sites operate Monday to Sunday, a completely flexible approach is required with working hours to support the functions in terms of support.
Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 pa depending on experience.
