The Role
:
As a Night Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of young people who require social, emotional, and mental health support. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
2. Assisting in daily routines to ensure their well-being.
3. Creating a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Build strong relationships with young people, promoting trust and emotional well-being.
5. Empower and motivate them to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
6. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
8. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
What you’ll bring:
9. Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
10. A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare.
11. Previous experience working with children or young people is a plus but not mandatory.
12. Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
13. Positive role model – honesty and empathy are a must.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Commitment to working the homes rota of 5 shifts on, 5 shifts off
