The Role We’re seeking a Night Concierge to join our dedicated team at our Oasis House service, in Northampton. This is a full-time role working 42 hours per week, 8pm-8am, including every other weekend on a 2 days on, 3 days off rota. Oasis House provides temporary accommodation to rough sleepers, offenders and those that have fallen on hard times. Our residents often have complex needs ranging from substance misuse, antisocial behaviour, learning disabilities and mental health needs. As the Night Concierge you’ll be a visible presence in and around the scheme with responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, visitors and contractors. You’ll be the first point of contact for enquiries including contact by telephone, email and face to face with our residents. You’ll also carry out regular patrols, monitor visitors and carry out health & safety checks of the building, reporting repairs as and where needed. Our ideal candidate? You’ll be an open-minded, approachable person who is able to communicate with diverse groups of people. It goes without saying you’ll have experience dealing with challenging behaviour, with the ability to remain fair and assertive, in order to reach solutions and overcome challenges. You’ll be self-sufficient with the ability to manage multiple priorities as you will be expected to work autonomously. We’re also looking for you to be confident using a range of IT programmes (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams). Who are Midland Heart?
