About the Opportunity
The position involves handling all daily operations and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance of PV systems. You will provide technical reporting for the installation and construction of PV, BESS, and EV systems, along with performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. The role is field-based, allowing you to work on a variety of projects across domestic, commercial, and utility scales. You will represent the company at client sites during installation days and will be responsible for testing and inspecting electrical work. Daily site visits to various locations within the companys portfolio will be required, following the direction of the O&M Manager. You will report your findings, observations, and measurements back to the management team.
Responsibilities
You will be asked to work closely with the Management team in order to supervise and execute (i) planned preventative maintenance, (ii) corrective maintenance and (iii) troubleshooting/ fault finding, as well as new installations and/ or remedial works (iv)
Responsible for routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV/BESS/EV systems
Responsible for complying with the companys procedures
Responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance accordingly with the PPM plans
Provide comprehensive reports in line with the clients standards, in a prompt and diligent manner; these business-critical reports can be prepared remotely, not necessarily at site or in the office
Reporting of activities performed on site, upon any site visit and on a daily basis, through the companys CRM or manual reports as applicable
Adhere to all HSE procedures at all times and play an active role in risk assessment.
Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training
Assisting with major installations and commissioning installs
Take full ownership of assigned sites
Manage relationships with local subcontractors
Experience
Previous experience working as Filed Engineer/ Electrician
Utility scale Solar/ BESS/ EV construction, installation and maintenance experience
Inverter maintenance experience
High Voltage (HV) Switching experience (preferably)
Knowledge of network infrastructure (e.g. LAN, routers, switches)
Skills
UK Driving licence
Willingness to travel flexibly

Strong site experience and hands-on mentality
Qualifications
Approved electrician UK (required)
Recognized electrical qualification such as City and Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition BS 7671) and Testing and inspection certification 2391.
CSCS, ECS card holder
Must be willing and able to travel in support of existing & new projects, with the potential for stays away from home.
Excellent communication skills and a great manner in communicating with our customers and colleagues.
Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems such as AC distribution boards, DC combiner boxes, inverters, transformer, automation panels, etc
Knowledge of High Voltage systems, up to 33kV, in terms of switching operations and maintenance would be an advantage
Able to use IT equipment and mobile phone for reporting, working knowledge of Microsoft office
Diligent & knowledgeable approach to Health and Safety
IOSH or NEBOSH
LV/ HV Jointers qualifications and experience is a plus
