Job Role : Learning Disability Support Worker Service : Mill Lane & Park Drive Supported Living Hours: 24 hr, 32 hr available Hours per week : Full-time & Part-time roles are currently available as this is a new service. Salary : £12.00 Location : Ellesmere Port About the services In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work across two of our disability-supported living services in Ellesmere Port - Mill Lane and Park Drive. Mill Lane is home to three women in their 20s who each use wheelchairs, one of which is non-verbal and communicates with Makaton, and they all have a shared passion for fashion, beauty, shopping, and coffee trips. Then, Park Drive is home to two men and a lady with diverse needs who each enjoy a range of hobbies and engaging in their local community. We're seeking team members who can share in these individuals' passions and provide support with a keen sense of fun and motivation. A Day in the Life of a Learning Disability Support Worker As a Learning Disability Support Worker, no two days are alike - much like the diverse individuals we support. Our approach revolves around person-centered planning, tailoring our services to suit the distinct requirements of each person we support. We are deeply committed to working towards positive outcomes for every individual, celebrating even the smallest milestones on their journey to personal growth. As a Support Worker, you'll be equipped with comprehensive training to provide a wide range of assistance, including personal care, behavioral support, fostering independence and confidence, and nurturing positive relationships through effective communication. Working patterns can be full or part time, and options for weekend shifts and 'sleep-ins'. On a sleep-in shift, you'll have a private space with your own bed, remaining on-site overnight and available to respond quickly if needed, though it's expected that interruptions during the night will be minimal.
