Introduction to the Investment Management team at Evelyn Partners
It takes a proven skillset and knowledge base to earn the trust of a private investor. Our investment offering aims to understand the needs of our clients so we can create bespoke portfolios tailored to each individual client’s personal needs enabling them to both preserve and grow their wealth. We don’t limit ourselves to one in-house investment style, which means there’s no limit to the insights you can provide.
Our Investment Management teams work with private individuals, charities, and institutions to help achieve their financial aspirations. We do this by understanding their wider financial assets, their requirements and objectives, attitude to risk and time-horizons to create and manage the most suitable investment portfolios.
What will you be doing?
As an Investment Management Associate, you will be learning a well-respected profession at a firm with an unparalleled reputation. We will teach you how to assess global economic strategies, understand how asset classes are ranked, and select sectors, stocks, and funds as you evaluate risk while constructing high-performing portfolios that exceed your clients’ expectations.
We believe that hands-on experience is key to creating well-rounded trusted business advisers and as such you will work on front office investment management tasks alongside studying for the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and CISI’s Masters in Wealth Management

Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting Partners and Directors with regular portfolio reviews
* Undertaking analysis of companies and collective investment schemes and relaying this information to the firm wide Investment Managers
* Attending investment meetings, internal/external seminars and regulatory briefings
* Drafting client correspondence, e.g. performance summaries, market overviews and other adhoc queries
* Loading up client trades on portfolios
* Communicating with other Advisers on client matters e.g. Financial Planners, Tax Advisers and Solicitors
* Liaising with Investment Settlement Operations and Treasury departments on administrative matters, e.g. stock transfers, corporate actions, international payments
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Be committed to completing the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and CISI’s Masters in Wealth Management
qualifications
* Have obtained or be predicted a minimum 2:1 degree, in any discipline
* A Level: Minimum 112 UCAS points in top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
* GCSE: Minimum Grade 5 (or equivalent), in English Language and Maths respectively

Small class sizes and direct access to tutors will ensure that you develop a broad range of skills whilst learning how to apply your new knowledge to real client scenarios. And you won’t do it alone - you’ll be joining as part of a cohort with your own personal support network, including a buddy to offer first-hand experience. You’ll receive guidance and support each step of the way by our dedicated Learning & Development team and training contact for your department to make sure you have everything you need to realise your potential from day one.
