Purpose of the role
To be a role model that will inspire and empower people to lead a healthy and physically active lifestyle through creating and delivering outstanding PE, sport and physical activity sessions and lessons that are engaging and promote learning through movement.
Within this role, you will be supported by our head of operations for the operational performance of the company regionally across Leicester City & Loughborough and lead a strong middle management team which you will engage, train, and empower to ensure they are all performing in line with the company vision, values, and objectives and meeting set deadlines and key performance indicators.
This role is pivotal to the overall success of the company as you will also drive company objectives at the same time as being an advocate for the company and its values – consistently championing the company vision and driving standards.
You will be expected to deliver high-quality coaching sessions on a daily basis alongside your role as operation assistant.
Main Responsibilities and Duties

2. Self and Team Management and compliance:
1. Recruit, engage, deploy, and co-ordinate a team of highly skilled sports coaches and middle management compliantly. Manage and delegate tasks throughout the whole team whilst maintaining a strong team ethos and positive relationships through conducting probationary and annual performance reviews, setting action plans, and other engagement activities.
2. Promote and maintain effective working relationships and communications throughout the business, ensuring all team members are clear on their responsibilities and expectations.
3. Lead the training and development of all staff, ensuring their understanding of processes, shadowing within schools, and full competency in delivery expectations.
4. Ensure all HR policies are managed and adhered to with appropriate action taken in the expected timescales when required (including disciplinary, complaints, grievances, absence, annual leave etc.), keeping open communication with HR team.
5. Ensure all rotas and timetables are produced and distributed to all team members at least 1 week prior to deployment.
6. Manage the day-to-day activities of the business.
7. Work strategically, leading the team to meet set deadlines, against company business plan objectives.
8. Be able to provide high-quality coaching sessions on a daily basis.
3. Finance and analysis:
1. Work with company Directors to set budgets.
2. Manage the business efficiently and in line with budget parameters, building effective working relationships with the finance team.
3. Analyse all business data and report on success and strategies for development on a weekly and monthly basis (includes budgets and KPI’s).
4. Quality Control and Compliance (including management of Business Management System):
1. Carry out school quality check visits and lesson/session observations and complete related documentation thoroughly and within expected timeframes, including school survey data.
2. Lead the completion and monitoring of coaches' performance through observations, performance reviews, and action plans, including monitoring observation scores and club numbers.
3. Manage Business Management System actions compliantly including meeting minimum operations standards, uploading events and school’s quality visits and reports; reporting on statistics to influence company strategy.
4. Manage the Continual Performance Development of all team, including your own, through in-house training or by signposting to external accredited and/or non-accredited training courses to ensure highest delivery outcomes, as well as attending Core Training events locally and nationally.
5. Demonstrate continued self-assessment and effectively monitor and report on own performance.
6. Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times following company policy and child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
5. Collaboration and Communications:
1. Chair/manage effective team/staff meetings on a 121, weekly, and monthly basis, monitoring business performance and KPI’s, including collaborating effectively with Business Development Manager regarding new projects.
2. Report to and attend board / Senior Leadership Team meetings when required, linked to business strategy.
3. Take lead point of contact responsibility for all team members and stakeholders promoting the company through effective collaboration with corporate services; including marketing, finance, and Human Resource departments.
4. Communicate effectively with all designated schools as an advocate for Premier Education and their values.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sports coaching and teaching methodologies.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to develop training programs and performance assessments.
* Knowledge of sports regulations and safety protocols.
* Relevant certifications in coaching or sports management preferred.

Pay: £13,416.00-£20,966.40 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
