We are looking for an experienced clinical coder to work in our busy coding team. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, conscientious, highly organised, and methodical.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibility of the Coder is to administrate and filter the paperwork workflow so that the GPs only see the items they need to action and the rest is on the patients' record ready for their next interaction.
You will be responsible for the coding of relevant information from hospital letters and clinical correspondence into the patients' electronic healthcare records on the clinical system, adhering to the practice coding policy.

Job responsibilities
Clinical coders are a vital part of our team. We receive large volumes of clinical information on a daily basis (electronic and paper-based) regarding patients and other matters. This filters in from a variety of sources and it all needs organising, coding, actioning, and sharing with the relevant people in the practice using Docman 10. The role consists of managing these documents, coding, and updating the patients' medical record within EMIS Web.
