Job responsibilities MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Extensive experience of working in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies. Extensive experience in carrying out complex interventions, will demonstrate that these skills are maintained and shares those skills with other team members. To respond to unpredictable situations of risk and manage these in a safe, professional and holistic manner using DICES risk assessment and management plans Will be highly skilled in all aspects of clinical communication including the maintenance of accurate records Will be able to demonstrate excellent prioritisation and delegation skills. To demonstrate and apply a highly skilled level of clinical and professional supervision. (Utilising a variety of techniques underpinned by a variety of models and experience). Will have evidence of continuous personal and professional development and be actively involved in case load management supervision, clinical supervision and clinical audit within the team. Complete developmental history and interpret with the aid of assessment tools for those referred with a potential ADHD diagnosis in line with the National Standards and NICE guidelines. Manage and co-ordinate independently community-led clinics and share with the Consultant Psychiatrist(s) the management of any medication interventions, to prescribe and adjust treatment appropriately working within agreed protocols and guidelines. Participate in administration and interpretation of specific assessment tools within ADHD assessment and communicate the results to the Multidisciplinary Team. Act as a specialist expert resource within the service in respect of this service user group working autonomously to support families and other health care professionals. To attend various multiagency meetings to advice, write specialist reports and plan care, acting as a patients advocate when appropriate. Participate and lead complex MDT Clinics to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for people with ADHD. Explores and analyses evidence, cases and situations in clinical practice, enabling a high level of judgment and decision making Delivers advanced practice which is evidence based within service Demonstrates self-direction and originality in tackling and solving problems and acts autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional level Assesses and manages risk Demonstrates ethical decision making Carries out non-medical prescribing in line with legislation, where competent to do so Creatively develops therapeutic interventions to improve service user outcomes Utilizes a high level of communication skill Involves service user/carer/stakeholder/organisational and public involvement in development of service and role where appropriate Actively involves service users and carers in providing feedback of their experience Has a high level of awareness of own values and beliefs and how this impacts on practice objectivity Promotes and influences others to incorporate person centred/values based care into practice Negotiates care with service users and carers as an equal partner. Works in a positive and constructive way with difference and diversity, incorporating the values, views and understanding of individual service users and carers at the centre of everything we do to deliver care that we would be happy for our family and friends to receive in line with Navigo operational philosophy Assure and maintain oversight of pre-diagnostic assessment schedules to enable the delivery of diagnosis for most people on most occasions within a multidisciplinary formulation process/meeting Identify when to refer to relevant team for non-neurodiverse primary problems identified in a timely manner Interpret the results of multiple assessments and investigations within sphere of competence, to include, but not restricted to, blood results, ECGs, X-ray and CT results, in order to formulate a diagnosis and plan and deliver care in concordance with appropriate NICE Guidelines Monitor physical health of service users on long term antipsychotic medications in line with NICE Guidelines and practice in line with the appropriate shared care pathways Support the development of the Non-Medical Advanced Practitioner pathway and supervise junior staff as required.
