Position: Occupational Health Nurse
Site: Unilever Crumlin, UK
Job Purpose: To provide comprehensive health services for the protection and promotion of total physical, mental, and social well-being of all employees.
Job Summary:
* Conduct pre-employment and annual health assessments, including but not limited to physical exams, immunizations, and tuberculosis screening.
* Develop and implement health promotion programs and educational initiatives.
* Identify and evaluate potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on employee health status and conditions.
* Collaborate with HR, managers, and other relevant departments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct pre-placement medical to prevent any liability to the company and to prevent illness/injury to employees and colleagues.
* Plan and conduct risk-based medical surveillance including exit medicals, retirement medicals, and ill health retirement medicals.
* Organize/Track rehabilitation and referrals.
* Investigate illness/injury episodes and trends to determine health and safety needs, communicating this information to relevant stakeholders for the development of safety programs.
* Maintain employee records and liaise with external service providers.
* Communicate within the department and to internal/external stakeholders (e.g. responding to emails).
* Plan and execute wellness drives and the mental well-being program.
* Evaluate performance/progress, counsel, and coach if necessary.
* Monitor progress and coordinate community health services for rehabilitation purposes.
* Promote, supervise, and perform prompt, effective medical assistance to employees in acute and chronic situations.
* Educate employees on health-related topics in either formal/informal groups or on a one-on-one basis.
Key Requirements:
* Occupational Health Experience
* NMC Registration
* Report Writing
* Computer literacy - Microsoft
* Driver's License
* Strong work ethic and ability to work in a pressurized environment.
Reporting Structure: The Occupational Health Nurse will have a direct line report to the Clinical Manager/Clinical Lead, ensuring alignment with Unilever Global Health objectives, and a functional report to the BUSINESS HEALTH CMO for role-related deliverables.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 per week
