About the Role
Our client is seeking an External Works Principal Engineer to support major infrastructure projects for the UK's Defence sector. You will lead the design and implementation of external works on a Dock Facility upgrade, ensuring alignment with MOD requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strategies for design, procurement, and capability demonstration.
Oversee system requirements, interface management, and design approvals.
Ensure compliance with BIM, CDM, safety, and quality standards.
Lead technical coordination, risk assessment, and project planning.
Support stakeholder engagement across design teams, MOD, and contractors.
About You
Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in engineering design, safety, and construction support.
Strong knowledge of industry codes, BIM, CDM, and design management.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Experience with Defence, nuclear, or large-scale infrastructure projects is desirable.
