We are currently seeking a visionary Head of Programme Delivery to lead our ambitious digitalisation and transformation journey, based in Solihull, West Midlands. Flexible/Hybrid working available. Reporting directly to the Transformation Director, this is a unique opportunity to shape the Programme Delivery Office within our newly established Transformation team. You will partner business teams to oversee the successful delivery of over 50 digitisation projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
1. Establishing the Transformation Delivery Office
* Develop the foundational capacities and capabilities required which includes recruiting and developing a high performing team of Senior PMs, Change Managers, Risk Managers, Analysts, Resource Planners and more.
* Design and implement a governance framework that ensures all digitalisation projects align with our strategic priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
* Introduce agile methodologies.
1. Governance & Leadership
* Establish robust governance structures for risk management, reporting, and decision making.
* Drive collaboration across Data & Analytics, IT, and Business teams to ensure effective project integration.
2. Delivery Capacity
* Optimise resource allocation and manage the work pipeline to enhance efficiency and project delivery, using data-driven decisions to prioritise high-impact projects.
* Lead the design and execution of agile-based projects, applying Kanban, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and OKRs to drive project success.
3. Financial Stewardship
* Control transformation project budgets, lead capital expenditure applications, and track financial performance against KPIs.
4. Performance Reporting
* Establish reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on project progress, financial performance, and benefits realisation up to executive level.
Experience & qualifications
To be successful in this role you'll need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, IT, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in programme and project management, as well as experience in a senior leadership role.
3. Proven experience in managing and successfully delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
4. Experience leading a Programme Delivery Office or Transformation Office.
5. A highly developed understanding of IT, data, and change management within a matrix environment.
6. Extensive budgeting and financial analysis skills to ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes.
7. Demonstrable success in delivering projects using agile methodologies (experience with Kanban/SAFe/OKRs is essential).
8. Exceptional communication skills for inspiring and influencing at all levels.
9. A proven ability to inspire and develop diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
10. The ability to align programme delivery with organisational objectives and long-term vision.
11. Experience in leading change initiatives and engaging stakeholders.
12. A successful track record in identifying and managing risks proactively.
Desirable Skills
1. Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP, Prince2, MSP).
2. Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
