Main Responsibilities
* Actively involved in setting standards, coaching, and advising where necessary.
* Support the Quality team and drive departmental objectives and performance targets.
* Ensure that all functions of the team are delivered on daily/weekly/monthly tasks through delegation or direct action.
* Create and train staff on SOPs, manuals, core procedures, and other defined standards.
* Maintain a flexible approach to meet the changing demands of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Integrate with all shifts to ensure employees understand and adhere to best practices.
* Lead by example to ensure all staff behave safely.
* Coach and mentor QA and QC staff to drive standards forward.
* Educate and promote food safety and technical standards across operational teams and coach best practices.
* Liaise competently with customers and auditors as required.
* Support all external visits to the site.
Quality
* Maintain all site food safety controls and the due diligence required to demonstrate them.
* Audit against the defined internal audit schedule and close out non-conformances.
* Knowledge and adherence to customer-specific QAS, driving adherence of the site to standards.
* Take positive corrective action if the product does not meet specifications, including root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence.
Health and Safety
* Ensure that you and the team adhere to H&S policies.
* Be actively involved with continuous improvement projects and ensure all Quality procedures are followed.
* Drive through the Quality agenda with the support of the Operations Team and site CI Lead.

Qualifications and Skills
* Ideally a HND or BSc in a food-related course or 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing quality-focused role.
