Your new company I am engaged on a project to recruit a React Front End Developer to lead the development of the web front-end to communicate with microservice components. You'll be working for an international business with an ethical/tech for good focus.This role is based in their Southampton office between 2-3 days per week. Your new role You will be joining the Digital Development team, formed 2 years ago and scaling fast. Working alongside a mix of Data and Software specialists the team has good experience and you will be a key contributor to building and launching a new greenfield product that gives users unrivalled clarity and insights, enabling them to make key decisions to meet sustainability goals.Having grown exponentially year on year in revenue and headcount, including through Covid, it's a great time to be joining and progression is at the forefront of their thinking for the technical team.It's an event-driven microservices environment and you will be the go-to person for Font End. You will work with the UX designer to understand front-end components presented in Figma, will collaborate with back-end and cloud engineers to define the data contracts and understand the best architecture for their API endpoints.As an experienced hire you'll be expected to share software best practice and to subscribe to modern JavaScript and programming principles.Your voice will be heard and there is no ceiling working here. What you'll need to succeed We're looking for a minimum of 6 years working hands-on with React/Next.js, ideally using TypeScript and in microservices environment.You should be an expert using HTML/CSS, Tailwind, as core front end technologies.You should be a proponent of Azure DevOps and will have experience working in a DevOps environment working with CI/CD pipelines.Experience in implementing feature flag software releases and developing software in an agile environment with a good knowledge of LaunchDarkly being advantageous.A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar would be advantageous.
