Are you an experienced housekeeper looking for a rewarding role where your skills make a real difference? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our hospice housekeeping team, to play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
This is a fixed-term contract for 4 months to cover long-term sickness absence. There may be a possibility of extension depending on circumstances at the end of the initial term
Hours: This is a 16-hour per week role with a fixed working pattern, including Saturday and Sunday on a rota basis (one in three weekends). Typical hours are 07:30 – 11:45 on weekdays and 07:30 – 12:15 on weekends. Flexibility may be required to provide cover on an ad hoc basis.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Ensuring all areas of the hospice are clean and hygienic, including patient rooms, clinical spaces, and public areas.
* Carrying out deep cleans following patient discharge and maintaining hygiene standards throughout.
* Restocking supplies like hand towels, soap, and toilet rolls.
* Supporting your colleagues with tasks like bed-making, curtain washing, and floor care.
* Following all safety guidelines and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
* Engaging respectfully with patients and visitors, offering support when needed.

Ashgate Hospice, based in North Derbyshire, offers free palliative and end of life care for adults with life-limiting or incurable illnesses, including cancer, neurological diseases, and advanced heart, kidney, and lung conditions.
