Production Supervisor
Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Location: This role will be based at HQ, Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim.
Shift: 3 week rotational shift pattern. (Week 1, 6am - 2.30pm, week 2, 2pm - 10pm, week 3, 10pm - 6.30am)
Purpose: Working in a busy production environment, you will play a key role to deliver manufacturing excellence and continuous improvements through people, plant and process - specifically health, safety and wellbeing, customer experience, quality and process improvement.
The focus of this role will be to coach and mentor the team to deepen cross skilling and knowledge, build on developing employee pride and drive forward a customer-focused and continuous improvement culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Take responsibility for health, safety, and well-being to deliver a safety-first culture.
2. Manage daily, weekly and monthly workflows to meet production targets.
3. Manage production planning and scheduling ensuring service metrics are achieved to delight our customer expectations.
4. Oversee production activities, solving problems and implementing improvements to avoid recurrence of issues.
5. Monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum output and efficiency.
6. Deepen skills and knowledge of Operators by promoting a culture of cross-skilling.
7. Ensure hygiene standards are maintained in all production areas.
8. Conduct daily stand-up meetings to communicate key performance areas and production targets.
9. Provide supervision to the team to create a performance culture through coaching and mentoring.
10. Collaborate with the Warehousing Manager to maintain exceptional presentation and hygiene standards for all finished products.
11. Demonstrate resiliency and ambition to drive sustainable manufacturing excellence.
12. Lead continuous improvement and change culture.
13. Act as an ambassador for our company values and behaviours.
Education:
1. Educated to at least GCSE level.
2. Educated to Graduate Level.
3. Manufacturing Qualification.
Experience:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
2. Evidence of supervising production in a busy environment.
3. Knowledge of current H&S legislation.
4. Experience within a manufacturing environment in a similar industry.
5. Evidence of lean manufacturing.
