Our client is a successful distribution company selling across 4 continents that is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of accounting and supporting the smooth operation of financial functions within the company. The role will entail:
1. Processing supplier invoices and expenses
2. Handling both AP and AR functions, including follow-up on outstanding invoices
3. Bank reconciliations
4. Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, entering data into SAP software
5. Assisting with month-end reports and balance sheets
6. Providing support and documentation for audits
7. Handling various administrative tasks within the finance department to ensure efficiency
Previous experience as a Finance Assistant with knowledge of accounts payable, receivables, and bank reconciliations is required, along with a desire to develop towards more month-end management accounting. Familiarity with CRM systems and Excel is essential. The role would be accompanied by study support either towards AAT or ACCA/CIMA. You will be very well organized, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
