About the job
Ensure calibrated equipment is managed, identified, and tested to an appropriate schedule. Ensure safe operation of any equipment used (pH meters, balances, fume cupboards, etc.). Be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, and efficient pharmacy environment/operation to ensure health, safety, and GPhC compliance standards are maintained. Collaborate with R&D to ensure new products meet quality standards. Create and review documentation such as SOPs, Risk Assessments, and other Quality documents in accordance with ALCOA/data integrity requirements. Support the complaints resolution process - Promote a strong teamwork environment and show cooperation within the lab and other departments to resolve issues. Work with the Quality Technician in the sampling and testing of raw materials upon receipt before approval by a pharmacist and of finished products to assess BUD. Support in raising deviations, CAPAs, and change controls to assess the impact on quality, safety, and efficacy. Support in updating COSHH assessments. Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy processes and safety instructions. Timely and accurate reporting of data including KPIs, metrics, SLAs, and tasks. Support additional tasks as requested by the Production Manager. Positively respond to changes in priority whilst maintaining quality and meeting defined timeframes. Perform self-inspections and write reports on the results. Attend and participate in relevant meetings and support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality.
Set yourself apart
Working knowledge and understanding of COSHH, GMP principles, GPhC, and MHRA standards (preferable). Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills. Compliance-oriented with an eye for detail. Previous manufacturing experience would be advantageous. Experience of working in Quality Assurance would be advantageous. Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative with excellent time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills. Good awareness of ‘right first time’ (RFT), metrics, and targets. Driving and sustaining a culture of good quality across the business. Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The ideal candidate will have experience in a QA technician role. This role will ensure all products conform to legal, quality, and safety requirements set out in the GPhC regulations to protect patients and employees.
