Job Description
1. Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
2. Produce complicated letters for clients.
3. Identify tax planning and cross selling opportunities to pass on or deal with directly.
4. Assist with the coaching and development of junior staff.
5. Billing and WIP management.
6. Management of filing deadlines.
7. Work closely with partners and other team members to efficiently deliver high-quality tax work.
8. Contribute to the firm's business development activities.
9. Stay updated with changes in tax law and communicate these effectively to clients.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Corporate Tax Assistant Manager should have:
1. ATT/ACCA qualified with eagerness to pursue CTA.
2. Good understanding of income tax, capital gains tax, national insurance & PAYE, pension planning, corporation tax and business tax.
3. Basic understanding of inheritance tax and VAT.
4. Able to deal with HMRC tax enquiries with tax manager's supervision.
5. Able to research when personal knowledge or understanding is lacking and ask questions where required.
