Role Vision:
As our Catalyst in SHEQT (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and Training), you are the glue that keeps our policies, procedures and practices together. With a practical approach, you will ensure compliance, deliver insightful toolbox talks and pre-start briefings, and be the beacon of Health and Safety, Environmental & Quality advice. This hands-on role is designed for a proactive leader who can balance business needs with client requirements while keeping an unwavering focus on SHEQT compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Aiding the project management teams in upholding the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across all projects.
2. Executing meticulous inspections with a focus on SHEQ compliance, company and client management systems and industry best practices.
3. Ensuring safe maintenance and risk management of plant and materials across projects (PUWER, LOLER, RAMS, CoSHH, FIRE etc).
4. Building strong bonds with the workforce, nurturing a culture of safety and consistency through the group's LIFE behaviour program.
5. Displaying team spirit by supporting operations planning and delivery.
6. Managing contractors and ensuring steadfast adherence to HSEQ standards.
7. Conducting equipment inspections, as required.
8. Delivering accredited and bespoke training programs.
9. Leading incident investigations.
10. Actively producing and disseminating educational material.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
1. Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate
2. Valid CSCS card aligned to Job Role
3. Experience and up-to-date knowledge of RC Frameworks and Ground Works
4. Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
5. Outstanding IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email
6. Proven ability to foster robust, working relationships
7. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Desirable:
1. Work experience in Construction, Engineering
2. TEEPs and TSTS
3. IEMA Environmental Qualification
4. Temporary Works Coordinator
5. Fire Risk Assessor
6. CoSHH Assessor
7. Experience with lifting equipment i.e. Cranes
8. Knowledge of Behavioural Safety
9. Trainer / Teaching qualification
