Your new role
Reporting to a Finance Director, this is a senior role in a small team. Duties to include:
1. Ensure accurate financial reporting and processing, including accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
2. Manage and develop a team of financial accountants, setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and providing training.
3. Review and approve account reconciliations for all balance sheet and intercompany accounts, and significant journal entries.
4. Implement and maintain high-quality financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and statutory requirements.
5. Oversee VAT and corporate tax returns, prepare annual statutory accounts, and provide financial records to external auditors.
6. Assist in budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance against targets, collaborate with Treasury on cash flow, and recommend cost reduction and profitability enhancement measures.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Qualified in accounting CIMA/ACA/ACCA or other recognised accounting qualification.
2. Strong commercial skills with an analytical mindset.
3. Preferred experience with QuickBooks.
