Main duties of the job
1. Manage a workload of patients undergoing radiotherapy ensuring the safe and competent use of radiation and the highest standard of patient care, ensuring all efficiency targets are met.
2. Provide advice regarding management of a range of complex radiotherapy related situations.
3. Report incidents and faults to appropriate staff immediately. Ensure all machine faults are logged appropriately.
4. Deputise for the Band 7 staff as required.
5. Work in all areas of the department to maintain all-round clinical knowledge and awareness.

Person Specification
Experience
* HCPC Registration
* Develop own skills and knowledge and participate in the education and training of others as appropriate.
* Comply with mandatory training and continuing professional development requirements.
* Experience working in NHS OB departments.
