We have a well-established Planning and Environment Team based across the country, who deal with an impressive range of projects including renewable energy, waste, industrial and commercial and major infrastructure. We have an exciting pipeline of projects, particularly in renewable energy, including solar, battery and wind technologies.
A taste of what you will do doing…….
* Providing advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to a variety of clients including leading renewable energy developers, utility and infrastructure companies, waste management operators, house builders, land promoters, investment institutions,, and others throughout all stages of the planning process
* Shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including: determining planning strategies;
* Site appraisals;
* Pre- application consultation, preparing planning applications and appeals;
* Planning project management including co-ordinating in-house and external technical teams;
* Community consultation;
* Proposal preparation and some business development activities;
* Liaison with external parties, including developers, landowners, architects, engineers, local authorities, and the wider multi-disciplinary team;
* Team supervision and advice.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and have a strong track record working on medium / large scale planning projects and demonstrate a high level of technical competency, and quality of work, together with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales, and ability to problem solve is critical.
