VGC Energy - Lowestoft are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a Client for a Senior / Project Manager based on a major Construction site in Suffolk.
Outline of the Role:
Deliver successful projects, build and maintain successful teams.
Maintain personal training and development as an example to others.
A Senior / Project Manager is responsible for a larger project or a number of projects.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To represent the company in the delivery of projects.
2. To receive instruction on behalf of the company.
3. To issue instruction and provide direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects assigned to the PM by Senior Management.
4. Provide operational support to specific Tender as required.
5. Pre Construction - as construction duties.
6. Construction - Deliver works safely and ensure all members of the team align to the principles of IIF.
7. Have a complete understanding of all of the project objectives.
8. Build, develop, support and maintain the team.
9. Build and maintain a good relationship with the client and all external parties.
10. Develop the Tender programme into the construction programme.
11. Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely clear direction can be given to the team on critical construction/financial targets.
12. Development, Management and Maintenance of Site Management Plan.
13. Identify and evaluate risks, determine and manage actions, maintain Risk Register.
14. Manage and control changes to scope, requirements, personnel, etc.
15. Monitor progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans.
16. Manage stakeholder engagement.
17. Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships.
18. Manage the design.
19. Prepare and present project reports.
20. Liaise with line management regarding approvals and decisions at key stages.
21. Prepare and maintain project information.
Required Qualifications and Expertise:
1. Proven technical and project management abilities.
2. Strong organisational and management skills.
3. Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations.
4. Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work.
5. Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment.
6. Sufficient experience required in construction.
