Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity in our Gloucester, Ward 7B clinic for an experienced senior staff nurse who is looking to make the next move in their career. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures and in order to increase the quality of life for our patients.
Main duties of the job
To manage the dialysis clinic in the absence of the manager, encompassing effective leadership of staff and ensuring high standards of patient care and promoting good working relationships between Diaverum and the NHS. The role of the DCM is also to provide specialised nursing knowledge and skills to enable junior members of the nursing team to develop their skills and knowledge and to ensure all technical equipment are fully maintained and operational and water quality conforms to Renal Association Standards.

Join Diaverum as a Deputy Clinic Manager in our Ward 7B clinic and play a pivotal role in managing our dialysis clinic in the absence of the manager. Lead a dedicated team, ensure high standards of patient care, and foster good working relationships between Diaverum and the NHS.
Ward 7B is part of our Gloucester Clinics and based in Gloucester Royal Hospital. 7B is within the Nephrology ward but is a stand alone bay where in-patient dialysis is delivered to both chronic and acute haemodialysis patients. The successful candidate will cater to the needs of a mix of patients in an acute care setting. Current experience in dialysis is essential due to the complexity of the patients and the fast pace of the flow through the unit. Whilst our clinics are closed on Sundays there is an on call rota for out of hours dialysis all week (1900-0700) and Sundays.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing clinic operations to ensure quality patient care and clinical outcomes.
2. Supervising and supporting staff with continuous professional development and training.
3. Managing patient scheduling and staffing for optimal efficiency.
4. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene policies and Renal Association Standards.
5. Providing specialized nursing knowledge and skills to junior team members.
6. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
7. NMC Registered Nurse with post-basic qualification in renal nursing.
8. At least two years of experience in Haemodialysis at a Senior level.
9. Proven experience in managing and leading a team of nurses.
10. Good knowledge of MS Office and excellent communication skills.
