Class 2 HIAB Driver in Borehamwood
Newstaff Driving Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Class 2 HIAB Driver on behalf of our client based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
Location: Borehamwood
Pay Rate: £17.00-£19.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle with a HIAB crane, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations.
2. Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and safe transportation of goods.
3. Conducted pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and reported any issues promptly.
4. Plan delivery routes efficiently, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
5. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues.
6. Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time, including proof of delivery and any relevant documentation.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and health and safety regulations.
8. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
9. Valid Class 2 driving license with an up-to-date CPC and HIAB certification.
10. Proven experience as a HIAB Driver Class 2, with a clean driving record.
11. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws.
12. Excellent spatial awareness and manoeuvring skills, especially when operating the HIAB crane.
13. Ability to handle goods with care and attention to prevent damage during transportation.
14. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
15. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks as required.
16. Flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
