We are thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for Health at Work Coaches to join our Work and Wellbeing Department as part of the expansion of the WorkWell project.
We Are Looking For
* Someone who is committed to making a meaningful impact in peoples lives and has a strong understanding of the Principles of Personalised Care and the practices of supported employment.
* Are you motivated to help individuals overcome health-related challenges and succeed in the workplace?
* Can you apply clinical expertise while using coaching and motivational techniques to empower individuals to manage their health and achieve their goals?
* Are you confident working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and building effective partnerships with stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and employers?
* Could you support employers to improve their ability to manage workforce health conditions, raising awareness of reasonable adjustments, Access to Work and available training and support?
If you hold a qualification in allied health, psychology, counselling, or nursing, we'd love to hear from you!
About WorkWell
WorkWell is a pilot project launched jointly by the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC). WorkWell supports individuals with health conditions to stay in, return to or gain work.
We provide early-intervention support through comprehensive health and work assessments, helping individuals overcome health-related barriers to employment. WorkWell also serves as a single point of access, connecting people to a wide range of local support services tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
Our Health at Work Coaches play a vital role by providing one-on-one coaching, promoting self-management strategies, signposting to relevant services, and liaising with businesses.
This is a community-based role with opportunities in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, or Sheffield.
Who You Are
* Customer led and performance focused
* Demonstrate excellent organisational, prioritisation and observational skills
* Build rapport easily, empathise and exhibit motivational interviewing and coaching techniques
* Work collaboratively within a mixed-disciplinary team and with a wide range of stakeholders including health partners and employers
* Model recovery focused practice including a strengths-based approach, being non-judgemental, and using co-production
Our Wider Benefits
* Salary £32,527 (pro rata)
* Working hours 37 hours (full time or part time)
* Eligible for essential car user allowance of £94.36 per month plus mileage expenses
