Liaise with all Wards/Departments/Staff as and when required, arranging tests and transfers as required. Greet and direct all visitors, eg patients, patients relatives, GPs, chaplains and representatives to the appropriate member of staff/patient. Answer the telephone and deal with or refer on all incoming calls to the ward staff as appropriate. Receive and distribute post. Manage and maintain the inpatient diary ensuring all details are accurate and up to date and corresponds with PAS. Keep the Bed State up to date (real time) on an agreed and timely basis. Input accurate and timely data onto the PAS system, ie patients admitted, transferred, discharged from the ward. To be always adaptable providing support to the Department team in whatever capacity is deemed appropriate. To attend and participate in ward meetings.
