South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to be part of our dynamic medical services driving team. We have a proven NHS background and are committed to providing excellent service to our customers for over 30 years.
The job entails sorting post from the Hospitals into pigeonholes, and then bagging up for the surgeries in the morning. The bags are then delivered by MTS during the day.
The afternoon is taken up with franking post from DHC sites and collecting pathology samples from local GP surgeries and delivering these to our local hospitals in a timely manner, so knowledge of the area is advantageous.
Main duties of the job
1. Complete daily checks on the vehicles and report any defects.
2. Ensure that vehicles are kept clean both inside and out.
3. Undertake ad-hoc work as required.
4. Maintain, sort and collate the post.
5. Escalate any problems with the Head of Post or Head Driver.
