Job summary We are recruiting for a skilled Night Nurse/Paramedic to join our Urgent Care Service in East Kent. The East Kent Night Nursing Service provides care for patients overnight with an urgent clinical need such as end of life symptom management, verification of expected death and urinary catheter issues. Referrals are received from NHS 111, SECAMB, Out of Hours GP and directly from patients and relatives via our Local Referral Unit. After a period of induction and consolidation you would be expected to rotate as the shift co-ordinator. This role includes triaging the calls and offering telephone advice or allocation for a clinician to visit. We are looking to recruit an experienced band 5 practitioner to the service primarily based in Ashford. The successful candidate would need to be comfortable with lone working and driving long distances across the geographical area. It is essential that you are comfortable with lone working and possess the relevant skills and knowledge to work independently with minimal supervision. A full valid driving license and access to a car is essential.
