Head Chef Manager role in a Care home in Tunbridge Wells, working 07:00-15:00, £33k-£35k per annum.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan and implement a balanced and appealing rotational menu using seasonal produce.
* Liaise with suppliers for quality and cost-effective products and services.
* Work with residents, their families, and nursing staff to understand dietary needs and preferences.
* Ensure stock checks, cleaning, and proper food storage.
* Provide meals for staff and maintain a robust cleaning schedule.
* Plan and deliver 'Special Events' and prepare food for residents' birthdays and celebrations.
* Manage kitchen staff, including training, appraisals, and uniform policy.
* Ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment, including fridge cleaning and temperature recording.
* Visit residents regularly to discuss food preferences and review meal service.
* Exercise financial controls and provide financial reports.
* Attend staff meetings, training, and supervision.
* Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and visitors.
* Ensure compliance with kitchen audits and maintain the first aid box.
Additional responsibilities include undertaking additional tasks, maintaining professional development, and ensuring health and safety.
