Job summary
The department plays an integral role, providing high quality support to all the clinical teams within the Hospice, including Support and Wellbeing, Community Team, and the Inpatient Unit. The department is in the process of upgrading EMIS processes and reporting systems to ensure consistent documentation across all departments.
Main duties of the job
* The candidate should have excellent communication skills, ideally with extensive EMIS knowledge, ensuring the ability to administer timely and accurate clinical information onto the clinical system.
* An English qualification is essential to produce high-quality documents that are formatted appropriately with correct spelling and grammar in line with corporate standards and requirements.

Job responsibilities
* Timely and accurate inputting of clinical information onto the EMIS system.
* Servicing the daily referral screening meeting to support the timely receipt, management, and recording of referrals and discharges.
* Providing administrative support for outpatient clinics and activities, liaising with internal and external providers, including department heads, consultants, and specialists.
* Preparing patient-related correspondence to a high standard within agreed timeframes.
* Accurately and promptly preparing, filing, and archiving patient records.
* Producing clinical activity and data reports for internal and external use by the Head of Administration.
* Using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, email, and internet.
* Ordering, distributing, and monitoring stock levels of stationery for clinical teams.
* Coordinating meetings and educational events, including booking rooms, arranging equipment, and informing attendees.
* Collating attendance information for clinical education sessions.
* Producing high-quality documents with proper formatting, spelling, and grammar.
* Photocopying and filing as required.
* Supporting, training, and supervising volunteers assisting in administration.
* Contributing to systems for ordering and issuing staff uniforms within clinical teams.
* Handling information in line with hospice policies to ensure compliance with information governance legislation and best practices.
