Computing Teacher – Full-Time – September Start – Levenshulme, Manchester
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Computing Teacher to join a high-achieving, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Levenshulme, Manchester. This full-time role is set to begin in September to cover a long-term absence. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, diverse student population, and commitment to academic excellence. Pay will be in line with your current teaching scale and level of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Computing lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Plan and teach engaging and challenging lessons, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and digital literacy
* Prepare pupils for assessments and support them in achieving their full academic potential
* Use a range of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles
* Contribute to departmental planning, resource development and school-wide digital initiatives
* Maintain a positive, focused classroom environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching Computing or Computer Science at secondary level
* Be confident in delivering a curriculum that includes Python, HTML/CSS, cybersecurity, and digital systems
* Be enthusiastic about digital learning and committed to promoting safe and responsible use of technology
* Possess excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills
