The job itself
The East Riding Safeguarding Adults Board is a statutory partnership Board made up of a number of statutory and non-statutory agencies working together to protect vulnerable adults from the risk of harm and abuse. We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced Development Implementation Lead who will be required to work across the multi-agency partnership and other local partnership boards on a number of initiatives and projects. Key areas in this role include user experience, public engagement, safeguarding action-planning and assurance, and enhancing our links with public health colleagues on understanding public health data related to vulnerable groups.
Another key area will be to work with various teams on the prevention agenda, to empower adults to keep themselves safe from all types of harm and abuse.
The successful person will assist the Board Manager and Chair in implementing the SAB Strategy and strategic action plan, managing the annual assurance process, and other statutory Board functions. The post holder will also pick up ad-hoc task and finish groups and sub-group work using their relevant background skills and knowledge.
Much of the work will require joint working with partner agencies; therefore, experience of this type of work is important, and the person appointed will be required to have an immediate impact on the work, working largely on their own initiative.
In return, you will benefit from a generous pension scheme, training and development opportunities, and many health and wellbeing opportunities.
The team operates a blended working arrangement, normally operating via Microsoft Teams; however, there is also an expectation that you will work at our office base in County Hall, Beverley as and when required.
We are looking for someone who has experience of developing and delivering key pieces of work and who has a sound working knowledge of vulnerable adults at risk of harm, current legislation, and guidance on adult safeguarding and other areas of contextual safeguarding. The preferred candidate will be a self-motivated, well-organised, and resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to the requirements of the partnership.
You will be an excellent team worker who is able to organise your own workload effectively.
