Job summary This post is for a cardiology trainee who wishes to gain experience in inpatient and outpatient cardiology and have the opportunity to gain skills in echocardiography and cardiac catheterisation. The applicant should have completed core medical training CT2 and should have obtained their MRCP or equivalent. Main duties of the job The North Wales Cardiac Centre does approximately 1000 PCI cases per year including being the regional centre for primary angioplasty. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. About us The post is based at the North Wales Cardiac Centre (NWCC) at Glan Clwyd Hospital which has responsibilities for patients across the Health Board. The North Wales Cardiac Centre is part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) and provides cardiology services for the population of North Wales (approx. 700,000). It is staffed by consultant cardiologists based in all three District General Hospitals along with consultants from radiology providing cardiac intervention and imaging.
