Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is seeking a skilled Design Coordinator to support the CP7 framework in Bristol. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in rail or civil engineering design who is looking to contribute to a high-profile, long-term project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Coordination: Support the management of design activities, ensuring that all design work aligns with project specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
* Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between design teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
* Compliance Oversight: Assist in verifying that all design elements meet regulatory and safety standards specific to the rail and civil engineering sectors.
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify and report any design-related risks or issues promptly, collaborating with teams to implement practical solutions.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organised records of design processes and provide regular updates on project status to the Design Manager and other key stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Relevant Experience: Demonstrated experience in design coordination within the rail or civil engineering sectors, with knowledge of Network Rail standards being highly advantageous.
* Technical Skills: Competent with design management tools and software relevant to rail and civil engineering.
* Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to resolving design challenges.
* Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to liaise between multidisciplinary teams and ensure accurate information flow.
