At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings.
We are looking for a Senior Graphics Programmer who is as excited about games as we are. In this role, you will contribute to a technical mandate on a AAA multiplayer online battle arena game title built on Unreal 5. You will assess the ability of new technologies to deliver and drive innovation, reliability, performance and productivity gains. Its an opportunity to work on the latest technologies and build a truly next generation experience for our players.
Key job responsibilities
1. Work on a competitive game experience, with strong focus on performance, reactivity and accuracy.
2. Work on GPU optimization on a wide range of PC hardware.
3. Contribute to and optimise custom technology that extends the functionality of the Unreal Engine.
4. Develop new graphics features and tools in collaboration with tech artists.
5. Take ownership of major graphics components.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with Unity, Unreal, CryEngine, Lumberyard or proprietary 3D game engine, or industry-equivalent technology (3D animation, simulation, etc).
2. Significant experience in C++.
3. Extensive experience developing systems and graphics for AAA video games.
4. Experience writing optimized HLSL/GLSL and compute shaders.
5. Up to date knowledge of the current APIs such as DirectX 11/12 and OpenGL 4.x and Vulkan.
6. Profound understanding of state-of-the-art graphics and lighting techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
2. Experience with Unreal engine.
3. Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent work experience.
