POSITION: ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance and administration who enjoys working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
The Role:
As a full-time Accounts Administrator, you will be responsible for handling financial transactions, supporting administrative processes, and assisting with HR-related tasks. You will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations and contribute to the efficiency of our business.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Accounts & Finance
2. Performing daily bank reconciliations.
3. Processing purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy with purchase orders.
4. Managing supplier payments on a bi-monthly basis.
5. Reconciling credit card statements with purchase orders monthly.
6. Overseeing payroll, including expenses, PAYE, NI, employer allowances, SSP/SMP, and report filing.
7. Maintaining the company pension scheme, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment and conducting yearly reviews.
8. Completing year-end payroll procedures, including P60s and P11Ds.
9. Preparing and submitting VAT returns for both the limited company and partnership.
10. Managing credit control, including issuing Final Demand notices and follow-ups.
11. Monitoring and managing potential bad debts.
12. Ensuring timely payment of Corporation Tax and managing financial reserves.
13. Producing and distributing monthly customer statements.
14. Preparing and reviewing monthly cashflow reports.
15. Compiling management reports and sales summaries.
16. Managing prepayments and maintaining aged debtors' records.
17. Reconciling petty cash monthly.
18. Monitoring and reporting Work in Progress (WIP) to accountants.
19. Assisting the QA Director with data collation for the annual Management System Review.
Other Duties
Maintaining flexibility to take on additional responsibilities within the scope of the role as the business evolves.

Requirements:
1. Previous experience in accounts and administration.
2. AAT Level 2 Certificate (or equivalent) – preferential.
3. Xero Software knowledge essential.
4. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
5. Knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll processes.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
7. The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A proactive and problem-solving approach to work.
10. A commitment to continuous professional development.
What We Offer:
1. Competitive salary between £25,000 - £30,000, dependent on experience.
2. 28 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays.
3. A full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
4. Permanent contract with an initial six-month probation period.
