Business Support Officer / Customer Service Job Type: Part-time, Temp to Perm Location: Sheffield Hourly rate: £13.62 PAYE Schedule: 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our local authority team in Sheffield. This role is crucial in supporting smaller businesses looking to scale up. You will act as a first point of contact, referring clients to business advisors and facilitating workshops. Day-to-day of the role: Serve as the first point of contact for businesses through call centre operations and direct landline communications. Refer clients to business advisors and facilitate their participation in relevant workshops. Manage calls and client interactions using the Storm telephone system. Perform administrative tasks primarily using Excel and the CRM system. Ensure accurate recording and handling of all client information. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in customer service, preferably in a call centre / call handling environment. Proficiency in using telephone systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication skills, with a polite and professional phone manner. Ability to accurately record and manage customer information.
