Job Description – Personal Assistant Reference HS-JWJ-CCC3 Job Title: Personal assistant Hours per week: 6 hours per week to be split across a Monday and a Saturday, hours of work will be agreed mutually in advance. Location: Colwyn Bay, Conwy Rate of pay: £14.70 Closing date: 9th May 2025 About the role This job is to support our adult daughter with autism. We would like someone to come and support her twice a week to take her out and about in the community to do hobbies, days out and activities that she enjoys to do, and support with socializing and independence. A driving license and access to a car is essential as she will need to be driven on the days out. Experience with autism is desirable for this role. We are looking for someone who is punctual and reliable to support as this is important to our daughter for her routine. Task and duties, to include any or all of the following: To take on days out such as to the zoo or swimming. To take out shopping or for drinks or lunch at local cafes. To support with being independent and socialization away from the home, keep her company and safe when out and about. Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed. Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed. A driving license and access to a car is desirable, with business use on insurance. Is able to follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be maintained at all times. Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency. Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable. Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgemental emotional support. Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of my family and I, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
