Job Description
About the team:
The Operations team run our Manufacturing, Assembly and Test facilities, coordinate our work with Suppliers, and manage all the Logistics to deliver our Formula 1 cars and upgrades to the Race Team at circuits around the world. We also plan and manage the overall car programme to ensure we deliver what we need when we need it.
We’re in an exciting period of transformation as we push to get back towards the front of the grid, which means we’re running multiple improvement projects in parallel. Whilst we focus on fast delivery and cost efficiency we also have to ensure that we meet quality standards given the importance of safety and reliability in the sport.
Role Overview:
As an Operations Graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to experience multiple areas within our Operations function through a series of rotations. You will typically carry out analytical and improvement project work making a real impact on our performance, as well as getting involved in the day-to-day tasks of different teams to give you an in depth understanding of how we work.
You will rotate through different functions, with the aim of settling in the team that suits you best. The roles include: Car Programme Management, Production Planning & Scheduling, Procurement, Inventory Management and Logistics, and Operational Excellence.
It offers the chance to work with and learn from talented and experienced team members, see what it takes to get a car to the racetrack and experience the thrill of playing a part in getting it there.
Example activities carried out by Operations Graduates:
* Using data to summarise current performance; data analysis, evaluation and reporting
* Mapping current state processes, developing future state and changes required
* Developing project plans for car development and business improvement activities
* Interacting with multiple team members from other functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, managing risks and giving early visibility of problems
* Presenting findings to the Operations leadership team
* Owning of supplier improvement projects
* Joining team meetings and learning from working with other functions
* Organising freight for race weekends and communicating with the trackside team to react to parts issues
* Networking with other graduates to share ideas and enjoy socials
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who will graduate in Summer 2025 or have graduated in the past year.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong interest to work in an Engineering and Manufacturing environment
* Logical and analytical approach to work
* Effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with others
* Enjoys problem-solving
* Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines
* Ability to work independently and with a 'can-do' attitude
* STEM related degree
* Manufacturing/Operations experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable)
