Role OverviewAs a Shift Manager, you’ll oversee depot operations during your shift, managing staff, processes, and resources to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will help maintain high service standards for our customers. If you have or are looking to develop your skills as a shift manager, team leader, shift supervisor, or similar role, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities Process and Cost & Resource Management Oversee all critical shift processes, ensuring compliance with SLAs and SOPs. Support shift supervisors in managing resources, workflows, and stakeholder coordination, allocating shift resources efficiently to balance cost control with service quality.Leadership & Staff Management Communicate effectively with teams, providing clear updates on performance and objectives. Monitor attendance, conduct, and performance, offering coaching and development, and ensure staff receive proper training. Deputise for the Operations Manager when needed. Customer Focus Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understand customer needs, ensuring smooth operations and quick issue resolution. Health & Safety Compliance Ensure all staff, including agency workers, follow Health & Safety policies and record and report any incidents, accidents, or near misses accurately.Consumables & Asset Control Manage and report on consumables, ensuring optimal usage and availability.
