Summary of Role
You will manage and report on the status of quotes, providing accurate information to account co-ordinators for customer reports. Working in collaboration with account co-ordinators to improve quality and timeliness of quote submissions. Working in collaboration with operational teams to increase engineer lead generation & quality of information.
What you will be doing
* Producing quotations for remedial works, and issue to the Customer.
* Generating contract renewal proposals to retain existing Customers.
* Chasing outstanding remedial quotes and renewals to improve conversation rates.
* Revising and re-issuing any rejected quotes on customer portals.
* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure best value costings are achieved.
* Providing Customer support and responding to queries related to remedial quotations and contract renewals.
* Actioning all Customer queries and requests in a timely manner, escalating as required.
* Liaising efficiently with Customers, Service Engineers and the wider H&K Team.
* Developing and maintaining knowledge of all relevant IT systems
* Ensuring adherence to all Company Policies & Procedures.
* Identify and implement process improvements to optimise conversions and margins
What we will need from you
* Proven sales experience in the fire engineering industry with a good understanding of fire engineering service contracts (essential).
* Experience of developing service quotations/bids (essential).
* Understanding of construction programs, building regulations, and fire industry standards and legislation (essential).
* Creative in approach with the ability to maintain and develop positive customer relationships (essential).
* Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable numerical skills (essential).
* Ideally will have performed a similar sales/estimating role within the fire protection industry (essential).
* Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities (essential).
* Can demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and efficiency (essential).
* Proven IT skills with experience of MS office packages (essential).
* Ability to work independently and autonomously as well as an effective team player in a close knit and highly successful team (essential).
* Friendly and outgoing personality with the natural ability to engage with customers/clients representing Hall & Kay professionally and positively (essential).
* Experience in dealing with end users, insurers and Main Contractors (essential).
