The Role
As a Senior Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll serve as the primary finance contact, overseeing all financial aspects of the New Dimensions and Urenco contracts. This is a standalone role directly reporting to the Finance Director and will have no direct reports.
Day-to-day, you’ll maintain financial governance for the contracts and support the sector’s agenda on strengthening controls and reducing risk, provide management accountant activities and finance business partnering and produce timely and meaningful management information to the Contract Managers. You’ll also:
1. Ensure compliance with Group, Sector, business unit reporting timetables, policies and procedures
2. Produce monthly management accounts including commentaries on profit and loss, balance sheet and operating cashflow
3. Work with the team to produce bid information for any additional business or contract extensions or re-bids
4. Provision of schedules to support the central production of statutory accounts
5. Provision of detailed financial information to external auditors
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.
Essential Experience
1. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Outlook
2. Experience of SAP
3. Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review.
4. Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed.
5. Ability to work cross functional and collaboratively with senior non-finance people
Qualifications
1. Recognised professional Finance qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
