As our long-serving Registered Manager is retiring, we are seeking an experienced, confident Registered Manager to lead and inspire our dedicated staff team and ensure that the home continues to meet regulatory requirements and deliver the best care for our residents.
The Registered Manager must be a practical, well-organised all-rounder, who has resilience and proven leadership skills in a similar role and is keen to take on the highest level of responsibility. They will report to and liaise with the home’s owners, but have considerable autonomy.
Key requirements:
* Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care
* Must live locally
* Must have management experience in care of elderly residents, some living with dementia, and end of life care
* Be a great communicator – able to liaise effectively with residents, staff, residents’ families, local authority representatives at all levels, healthcare and medical professionals, local community organisations.
Must have a thorough understanding and management experience of:
* Assessing residents; person-centered care planning, ideally with experience of digital care planning
* Organising staff rotas and wages (not payroll)
* Health and social care regulations; CQC assessment framework and inspection processes
* Risk assessment; health and safety, hygiene and fire regulations
* Administration of medication
* Dementia care
* Quality assurance and continuous improvement in a care home setting
* Relevant HR legislation and procedures; recruitment; GDPR
* Training and staff development

Hours of work and pattern of work are negotiable. This is likely to be a full time role but it may suit a candidate who is looking for flexible hours and/or can fulfil the requirements of the role on a part time basis.
